"Marching" up to Bempton Cliffs

Moorhen - Buckton Pond

A splendiferous morning for my local exercise walk, starting with a frost, then blue sky, sunshine and mild with only a light north westerly blow. I decided to walk the Bempton circular (Bempton, Cliff Lane, Bempton Cliffs, Hoddy Cows Lane, Buckton and back to Bempton).

I wasn't out in time for sunrise and this is the best I got before the sun became too bright

Frosted vegetation

Plenty of Dunnocks singing out

On the cliffs, all of the breeding seabirds were present but compared to yesterday, Puffins were well down.

And so to Buckton Pond

A year tick for me, but a common species, the Coot

Another year tick with two male and one female Teal

And a Moorhen

And finally, cheery Daffodils in Buckton
