Marching up to Bempton Cliffs

Kestrel

So, here we are in March which as far as I am concerned is spring! I think the weather thinks otherwise with dull, dark clouds, mist and a coolness still associated with winter! Very quiet all round and little change with two Barn Owls, thousands of Guillemots and Gannets, hundreds of Fulmars but no sign of Razorbills or Puffins. Photographically challenged as well, using my Sony RX10 mk4, initially with totally wrong settings (my excuse!).

The sunrise this morning was "spectacular"!

Gannet Life

"Ragging" the cliff top vegetation for "gifts"

The fallen rocks in the centre of the images below poses a danger to seabirds nesting below it and will have displaced others

Guillemots

"Now then lads, the plan for today is..........."

"Ouch!"

Kestrel

Feathers (assumed Pheasant) on the cliff top

Wrong settings for this Barn Owl on Cliff Lane!

And this Greater Black Backed Gull with Guillemot breakfast

An update on the topsoil landslip at Grandstand viewpoint

Trying to add some brightness in the form of Snowdrops

Moss

Tree Bark

And finally, had a "catch-up" with one of mates on Cliff Lane - didn't say much bu he still "Lichens" me a lot!

Please stay safe on your LOCAL exercise "March"!

Images taken handheld with Sony RX10 mk4.
