Seamer Tip Pool - 27th February 2023

Having dropped Heather off at Seamer station, I took the opportunity to visit Seamer Tip Pool. Very quiet, normal for when I visit 😇, so I grabbed a few images of the emerging flora and whatever birds came within range! Spring is certainly arriving!

Surprised that the resident Mute Swans (which are nest building) still tolerate one of their last years young

Grey Lag Geese

Dabchick (Honest)!

Got one eventually!

Bempton & Buckton Walk - 24th February 2023

My walk this morning was through Bempton and Buckton, visiting both ponds. As always, when I walk, I have my camera, and I am constantly looking for "things" that catch my eye.

A "little brown job", with a delightful song - Dunnock

Brown Hare, always a pleasure

Buckton Pond - of interest this morning, a pair of Wigeon; five drake Teal with two females and a Snipe

I just love these colours near Bempton pond

Alder catkins, Bempton Pond

Bempton Pond

I "lichen" lichens a lot!

A "Ladybug"

Snowdrops are nearing their end, but some are still fresh to enjoy

Bempton Cliffs Walk (Landscapes) - 23rd February 2023

A slightly different walk this morning, drove up to the cliffs and walked the whole length of the reserve. The sunrise was not as spectacular as I had hoped, but the sea was pretty wild, four hundred feet below! The wind was a tad strong, blowing in off the sea, challenging the steadiness of holding binoculars and camera! Still, the sun eventually broke through making for a great to be outside morning.
