"Marching" up to Bempton Cliffs

Fulmar

A dark, dull, dreary morning at the start of my local exercise walk to Bempton Cliffs, deteriorating to horizontal, icy rain blown in by a beastly hooley! Spring at its best!

Again most of the birds were very sensibly hunkered down. Thousand of Gannets were the dominant birds, followed by Herring Gulls and then Fulmars. Again no sign of any Auks or Kittiwakes. Unsurprisingly, no sign of any Owls either.

A challenging time to capture any images - trying to keep steady in the wind and protect equipment from the rain. Another morning of absolute solitude!

In an attempt to introduce a little brightness, a random Yellowhammer

All images taken handheld with Canon 7D mk2 and 400mm 5.6 prime lens.

Please stay safe on your LOCAL exercise walk in nature.
