"Marching" up to Bempton Cliffs

"And Streeeeeetch" - Razorbill

A much brighter and milder morning but still cloudy. The "cliffs were alive with the sight and sound of seabirds"! Probably the best day this year with all of the main eight breeding seabirds present and in very good numbers. I could've spent hours but I was on my local exercise walk! On the subject of local, I am stunned by the numbers of birders / photographers who have travelled excessive distances to see / photograph birds. Some have travelled hundreds of miles! And it is countrywide! Lockdown is still in force with an emphasis on local and essential. As always, I suppose these people regard themselves as "special"? I'm desperate to leave Bempton for some diversity in wildlife but will continue to wait! Remember, it's not over until the fat lady sings and as far as I know, no contracts have been signed!

"Hmmm now let me see"

"Now, Sir...you have a bad case of halitosis and a huge cavity"

Kittiwakes - I often refer to them as "Dracula" birds as they have blood red inner bills!

Herring Gulls

Fulmars

Puffins

Please stay safe on your LOCAL exercise walk in nature.
