Brandon Marsh - Kingfisher

Who can resist a Kingfisher? Especially when they are obligingly showing and fishing well!

Brandon Marsh - Reflections of Green Sandpiper and Grey Heron

An excellent morning at Brandon Marsh. Teal Pool held some very "reflective" Green Sandpipers and Grey Heron!

I've not been out for a while so with a day off, I decided to spend the morning at Brandon Marsh. Arriving about 0600hrs, I had the reserve to myself, and decided to visit all of the hides and pools. I was concerned at the low numbers of Warblers around the reserve and for the first time I failed to see or hear a Cettis Warbler! Highlights of the day were several Kingfishers, Green Sandpipers on Teal Pool,  juvenile Cuckoo on West Marsh Pool and a "reflective" Grey Heron! A very pleasant morning with some great photo opportunities.
