"Marching" up to Bempton Cliffs (Birds in Flight)

Fulmar

A slight improvement in the weather, losing the mist, a few bright periods, a cool north easterly blow and light rain showers. Well it is spring! Another quiet walk to the cliffs where a bit of a clear out of birds had occurred. Gannet numbers were down both on the ledges and in flight. Fulmars increased slightly from yesterday. There was no sign of any Auks (Guillemots, Razorbills or Puffins) on the ledges or on the sea. Distantly, over the cliff top fields, one of the Barn Owls quartered.

Brighter conditions led me to have a go at birds in flight

Adding some colour, male Yellowhammer

Caught in full song, Dunnock
