"Marching" up to Bempton Cliffs (Sunrise)

Solitude at Sunrise

It looked good for sunrise this morning, slight frost, clear sky, Moon and stars, so off I set in darkness. It didn't feel cold but once on the cliffs a chill descended. Having this place to myself is indeed an honour, but one that I know will be short lived as once the "lockdown" starts to ease, the floodgates will open.

Bempton Moon

Yesterday, a rare (for this area) White Tailed Eagle flew over Buckton, Bempton in a line towards Danes Dyke. Unfortunately, not being in the local birding "clique" I had no knowledge until it was again reported heading over the Dyke and Brid Bay. Too late, and unable to travel under "lockdown".

I consoled myself this morning when I spotted this even larger "bird" off cliff lane!

Once on the cliffs, yet again, a low cloud base and mist delayed what should've been a decent sunrise!

But, eventually, the sun appeared but quickly burned out as it entered clear sky

Pleases stay safe on your LOCAL exercise walk in nature.
