Long Tailed Tit
A change of scenery this morning with a visit to South Landing, Flamborough. Actually, it was my first visit since September 2020, so long over due! A lovely morning starting with a heavy frost but soon warming up with sunny periods and blue sky. Thankfully, the cold wind has dropped. It was so nice to walk through woodland and down to the beach, such a change from Bempton!
I even managed a few year ticks with three male and four female Bullfinches; Three drake and four duck Eiders; thirty+ Sand Martins; male and female Blackcaps and a drumming Great Spotted Woodpecker. Also, three Curlew; two Chiffchaffs; four Redshanks; and male Stonechat. Plus the other expected woodland species.
My arrival was loudly announced!
An atmospheric frosty Moorhen
Friendly Robin
Long Tailed Tit
Male Stonechat
Cuddy (Eider) Ducks
And finally, Curlew with Shadows!
