Bempton Circular Walk (Some of the Birds)

Puffins

My main aim this morning was to capture the sunrise, which is the subject of a previous blog page. Of course, you cannot not take images of the birds, although I had a few issues with settings. All of the breeding seabirds are present, in good numbers, on the ledges, on the sea and in flight. Just after sunrise, a Barn Owl and Short-eared Owl hunted the cliff top fields. Best birds for me were a distant Wheatear on the ploughed field off Hoddy Cows Lane and four Snipe on Buckton Pond, both being year ticks.
