Bempton Circular Walk

Gannet

Another rather grey day with some slightly brighter shades of grey and a cold south westerly blow, but at least it remained dry. Not a morning for dawdling due to the cold and relative lack of birds!

A few more Gannets have returned to the ledges but most are still A.W.O.L. All of the Auks were seen in small numbers, mainly on the sea and in flight but a few made it to the ledges albeit briefly. Still an absence of Kittiwakes so it was the Gannets and Fulmars dominating (if that is the right word!).

Gannets

Fulmars

One of two Razorbills on the ledges

Always present but often overlooked, the Jackdaw

A random Dunnock, always a pleasure to see and hear

An interesting Coot (one of two on Buckton Pond)

And finally, some views

The "foot [feet]" of Bempton Cliffs!
