Bridlington Harbour, Some of the Birds - 25th September 2021

Razorbill

Still a lot of Auks (Guillemots and Razorbills) in and around Bridlington Harbour, those I saw looked healthy and active. It was nice to hear the Razorbills calling, their raucous growl is often drowned out by the other seabirds on Bempton Cliffs, so I stood and enjoyed for a while.

Razorbills

Guillemots

Turnstone

It was difficult finding Purple Sandpipers this morning, but I eventually found three on the harbour wall

Black Headed Gull

I couldn't find any Redshanks, a reducing number of Kittiwakes are still on the back of the fish dock, two Goosanders flew through and a few distant skeins of Pink Footed Geese.

All images taken handheld with Sony RX10 Mk4.
