Flamborough Head - 13th April 2022

Wheatear

Despite living only five miles away, today was my first visit to Flamborough Head this year! Starting at the lighthouse, I walked the Old Fall circuit clockwise, then out past the golf course to Breil Newk and ended with another look around the fog station area.

Not a bad morning with seven year ticks. At least seven Wheatear along my route, two singing male Blackcaps, two singing Willow Warblers, at least twelve Sand Martins, a Red Kite high above old fall, a Red Legged Partridge near coastguard cottages and a Swallow near the lighthouse.
