"Patterns" (Turnstone)
Another cool, dull, grey start to the day, seems that the weather is stuck in a rut (bit like me, really!).
Very little inspiring in and around the harbour, other than the birds! It is noticeable that the waders are decreasing in number, as expected, as they move to their breeding grounds. Kittiwake numbers are variable, with many ousted from their traditional nest sites as more businesses install netting to prevent access to ledges, so very sad.

Hugely enjoying all your posts Kevin and Heather. Only been to Bempton once and we are new to RSPB, so its great to see what's happening whilst we aren't there! Planning another trip soon. Thank you so much.

Thank you Anne and I'm pleased that you enjoying my blog. Hopefully you will be able to return to visit Bempton soon, especially as the breeding season is underway!
ReplyDeleteOh yes for sure
ReplyDeleteNext month I think, hoping to take a boat ride to the cliffs from Bridlington.
All the best
Anne
Well worth the boat trip, but sailings are dependent on the sea conditions. You will thoroughly enjoy it.
