Black Browed Albatross, Bempton Cliffs - 8th April 2022

The problem with being "crepuscular" is that the light can be somewhere between tricky and terrible which doesn't help my photography. The plus side is less people about! Waiting for good light means loads of people rammed together and at the moment that is not for me. Rare birds are always going to draw crowds, with hundreds of birders / photographers getting the same images of the same bird. Depending on the size of optical equipment, many images will be exceptional. Today, I wanted to do something different with images of the Black Browed Albatross. I didn't have a great morning (light and wrong settings), so to be different, I offer some dreadful images of a majestic bird!

Confused.com! On a couple of occasions Great Black Backed Gulls mobbed the BBA.

All images taken handheld with Canon 7D Mk2 and 400mm 5.6 prime lens.
