Bempton Cliffs Sunrise Walk - 8th April 2022

After several days of bitter almost wintery weather, this morning looked more promising, so myself and Symphony headed up Cliff Lane in darkness! My aim was to capture two subjects (1) the sunrise and (2) the Black Browed Albatross. It soon became apparent that a thick cloud base would prevent images of the actual sunrise, but there was the possibility of what I call a secondary sunrise, when the sun rises above the cloud base. The problem here is that it becomes very bright after a few seconds. I was also  successful with the Albatross, but this is the subject of another blog post.

All images taken handheld with Sony RX10 Mk4.
