Local Exercise Walk to Bempton Cliffs

Another late start for my local exercise walk courtesy of light rain!  A very mild, pleasant morning once the rain moved on, with a few bright spells for good measure.

Images taken handheld with Canon 7D mk2 and 400mm 5.6 lens.

Gannet numbers are still increasing, as expected for mid February, both on the ledges and in flight

Good numbers of Fulmars

A welcome sighting

Small rafts of Guillemots on the sea, with others in flight but none visible on the ledges.

The fields bordering the reserve are thawing out encouraging the return of Geese, mainly Canada Geese, but also this solo Pink Footed Goose, choosing not to stay long!

Yellowhammer

Chaffinch

The top soil landslip at Grandstand has seen another displacement (Images Sony RX10 mk4)

Please stay safe on your local exercise walk in nature.
