Local Exercise Walk to Bempton Cliffs

male Yellowhammer

What a quick change of temperature! From below freezing to mildly pleasant, almost overnight! It has certainly seen off most of the laying snow, so hopefully no more "Bambi on Ice"! I am lucky! I can exercise locally from my door in an outstanding area. However, it can get a tad monotonous and I yearn to visit different habitats. Good birds are being seen quite locally and under normal circumstances, I would probably head out to see them. However, I have not travelled to Scarborough (15miles), Filey (8miles), Flamborough (4miles), Bridlington Harbour (4miles), and I miss them all! However, I do think that some are "stealing the urine" as to what is local exercise! Nuff said!

All bird images taken handheld with Canon 7D mk2 and 400mm 5.6 lens.

On the cliffs, the most Gannets I have seen so far this year. They are now viewable from Grandstand, Bartlett Nab and Jubilee Corner, with many more close in flight.
