"Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas (Bubble) Time!" - 25th December 2020

I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas time? Most of Christmas 2020 plans were made, torn up and then completely cancelled for some as the fight against Covid goes on. Our plans were made on the basis of my daughter Abigail coming to Bempton for the initial five days offered by the government. This had to change as did our plans when Christmas was cut to one day, Christmas day. Although Abigail is in a "bubble" with us, we decided to visit her near Gateshead so all was not lost. Travelling early morning, in rather challenging conditions, we had an excellent Christmas Day, including a fantastic Christmas walk to the Angel of the North. Thank you Abigail for making Christmas 2020 special!

"Can we move on soon, my bum's getting cold!"

Symphony

A "silver" moment!

The iconic Angel of the North

And the family images!

Although the fields and bushes held large numbers of Redwings, Blackbirds and Fieldfares, they remained out of camera distance. This Fox caught me out, wrong settings of course!

Two male Bullfinches certainly brightened the greyness of the bushes, albeit distant

Basically, we were "Simply having a wonderful Christmas time day"!

Lets hope next year sees a return to some "normality"!
