Bridlington, Harbour and Bay - 2nd December 2020

Christmas Tree, King Street

After lockdown 2 we enter enforced tier 3, but it was good to be able to trade again on Bridlington market! This also gave me the opportunity of visiting the harbour area that I have missed over the last month.

It was a rather grey, dull morning and I didn't expect to see much to photograph. As I approached the sea wall. a small area of redness was visible on the horizon, so I waited a few minutes and witnessed a very brief sunrise before the sun was lost into thick clouds. It was all over in less than five minutes, so a right time, right place scenario was had!

On my first wander, (I usually do two), it was still quite dark and a fly through Kingfisher (my first in the harbour), certainly brightened my day. I was also aware of a Seal feeding in the harbour but too dark for images. However, my second wander was in improved light and the Seal was mine! It certainly had a good breakfast!

Not a bad day back! For anyone not aware, our stall on Bridlington Market, King Street, sells greetings cards for all occasions, including bought in, hand made and some of my photographic images. Also we sell Avon Cosmetics. The stall is normally manned by my wife Heather who would love to meet you! I am involved in the setting up and taking down of the market stall! Bridlington Market is a great place to shop in an open air, healthy and safe environment.
