Images of my Sun Rise Walk to Bempton Cliffs - 20th December 2020

With yesterday's announcement about further Covid restrictions over the Christmas period and into the New Year, I really felt the need to have a walk in the fresh air and capture the sun rise. It looked promising with a clear sky and Venus shining brightly in the eastern sky.

Who really "stole" Christmas? All will be revealed at the end of this blog!

Walking up Cliff Lane, Bempton

Still Promising on the cliffs at Mosey Downgate

Up on Bartlett Nab the bright colours started to emerge

And, just as the Sun was rising.........the cloud base moved in quickly and

it got darker and duller!!! That was it!

The walk back down Cliff Lane enabled images of the Sun breaking above the cloud base

So it wasn't the government or the scientists - it was the Finch!

The Finch that Stole Christmas

Saturday 19 December to Sunday 3 January

10am - 3.30pm

Price: £2 per child, admission charges will also apply

The miserable greenfinch that lived in the Dell hates Christmas. This year he has hatched a plan to steal Christmas away from the other wildlife at Bempton Cliffs! Can you help find the Christmas cheer and the other creatures presents and save Christmas from the Finch? This self-guided trail is fun for all the family, get out and about in the fresh air to enjoy a Covid secure trail and some festive fun! £2 per child, admission prices not included.

Be careful! Look what the miserable finch did to Hugh the Snowman!

And finally, in "normal" times, I'd stand under here for hours!

Please take care, stay safe.

All images taken handheld with my Sony RX10 Mk4.
