A later walk this morning due to rain falling on frozen ground! Although not forecast, early light rain fell on already frosty ground causing very slippery surfaces. A family walk with Heather and Symphony saw us gingerly walking up Cliff Lane. I'm sure, had we been auditioning for "Bambi on Ice", we would have got the parts!
Starting later can, at this time of year, bring out some very atmospheric post sunrise opportunities!
Wildlife wise it was rather quiet with four Roe Deer; Buzzard; Kestrel; Stonechat and Red Throated Divers. Several hundred Fulmars were impressive. Today, I tried to capture them in flight.
Fulmars
And a random Herring Gull
Regular readers will know that since October 2020, I have only been using my Sony RX10 mk4. I said I would do this until the end of December 2020. Well time is nearly up! Decision time! Do I stay exclusively with the Sony or do I re-introduce my Canon 7Dmk2 DSLR and 400mm 5.6 lens? My intention was to transfer all my photographic opportunities to the Sony. However, I have much to learn still and I may carry both outfits from January 2021. Any thoughts?
Stay safe everyone.
