Bempton Cliffs - 28th June 2020

On Staple Newk, Bempton Cliffs

A bright start this morning, much cooler and quickly becoming overcast, but remaining dry for my 4.5mile walk. A slightly different route from Bempton village, up Cliff Lane to the cliffs, along past Staple Newk towards Flamborough, but turning right through Metlands, Stonepit Lane, Blakehowes Lane and back to the village.

Of particular note this morning was the massive movement of Swifts. Literally thousands of them! Filey / Hunmanby reported 14-16000! Impressive!
