Puffin
Well, I left the house in bright conditions but when I arrived on the cliffs, dullness had descended and a rather cool south westerly wind challenged. I decided to leave a little later, and with Symphony's poorly paw from yesterday, walked up Cliff Lane to the cliffs and back. She walked fine, so obviously fully recovered.
I do like to take images that are "different" in someway. This morning I had two opportunities, first with this Pheasant in the grassland at Bempton...
And secondly, with this Roe Deer, bounding through the Red Campion...
Down on the cliffs it was very much business as usual! Puffins showed well for a change...
Fulmars have been quite elusive, especially in calm conditions, so it was good to capture this one...
Plenty of Gannet action, and one of my favourites is the year four, as seen here in flight...
Seabirds succumb to many causes of death but their bodies are quickly picked off by predators such as this Great Black Backed Gull...
Hi Kevin & Heather!
ReplyDeleteNot visited for a good while so apologies there.
Hope you are both keeping well.
Love these photos! Really captures the beauty of These wonderful creatures. Also reminds me ans brings me a little closer to Bempton, which I miss very much at the moment.
Thanks for sharing and look forward to catching up again when all this has passed.
Take care both
Hello, your post is "anonymous" but I assume it is Nick & Helen? We are all well and enjoying the local area, in this very pleasant weather! I'm glad that my images are helping, but nothing can ever replace the real thing. I'm sure, that in the not to distant future, overnight stays will be allowed again and you will be able to come up. Take care.
