Full "Sturgeon" Moon, Bempton and "Diffused" Sun Rising, Hoddy Cows Lane, Buckton - 18th & 19th August 2024

Full "Sturgeon" Moon

In an almost cloudless sky, I was pleased to see and capture the full "Sturgeon" Moon over Bempton, at about 2145hrs on 18th August.

This morning, 19th August, I decided to walk up to Buckton Cliffs along Hoddy Cows Lane. There was quite a thick cloud covering and I was not expecting a decent sunrise. Of course, I was soon to be proven wrong! The cloud was thick enough to diffuse the sun enabling photography without the need of specialist filters.

And a splash of colour!

Thank you for looking.
