Bempton Cliffs Circular Walk (Birds) - 7th August 2024

Corn Bunting

August is a quietish month bird wise, autumn migration is just getting started, many juvenile birds swell the numbers, and the breeding Auks (Puffins, Guillemots & Razorbills) have disappeared off the ledges, although some can still be seen on the sea. Gannets, Fulmars, Kittiwakes and Herring Gulls are the remaining cliff ledge breeders.
