Aspects of Bridlington, Harbour & Bay (Birds) - 15th July 2023

Herring Gull, a "marmite" bird!

Still very quiet in and around the harbour with little evidence of birds returning at the start of migration. Only five Redshank and three Turnstone throughout the day. Sadly, a few dead Kittiwakes in the harbour and others looking sickly, no doubt due to avian (bird) flu. On a positive note, the King Street Kittiwakes continue to thrive with other Kittiwakes arriving on ledges, hopefully to breed next year.
