Bempton Circular Sunrise Walk - 12th August 2021

With the probability of a clear morning, I was out ust before 0500hrs, with Symphony, in the hope of enjoying and capturing the sun rise. I'm not sure that Symphony was terribly impressed though!

I decided to capture the pre-sunrise as I walked up Cliff Lane, Bempton

Arriving on the cliffs, I decided to walk to New Rollup viewpoint (no sign of Black Browed Albatross!).

Post sunrise and in golden glow

Strange cloud formation over Filey

Bird wise it was very quiet. No Auks (as expected), reducing numbers of Kittiwakes, leaving the Gannets as the dominant species. Large numbers of hirundines overhead and Barn Owl hunting.

Gannet Guga sporting the latest in young Gannet fashion!

Swallows on the wires at Buckton

And, a random Herring Gull

All images taken handheld with Sony RX10 Mk4.
