Bempton Birder on Vacation in North West Norfolk

 Day 6 - Titchwell, 9th June 2021

Black Tailed Godwit

Another day of high temperatures so a relaxing day followed by an evening visit to Titchwell. En-route, we stopped at Thornham Deli and picked up fish & chips from Eric's, thoroughly recommended! We felt very much out side of our status here, with so many top of the range cars, rich occupants and dressed as if they were going to dine in a posh restaurant! We constantly felt as if we should be touching our forelock!

On to Titchwell to eat our tea and then to savour the reserve at it's best, quiet, sun from the west and cool (ish). Year ticks this evening - Mediterranean Gull and Little Tern.

Surprise of the evening was a Little Tern feeding on the lagoons, now containing water.

  1. Hi Kevin, hope you had a lovely time in Norfolk. We are regulars in that part of the country. Currently enjoying our stay in your local patch. Think we may have seen a Sedge Warbler on Hoddy Cow lane. Do you think that is likely?

  2. Hi Mandy, we had a great time in Norfolk, thank you, though I have to admit it was a tad warm! We are now back home and I will be on the cliffs today (Sunday). Regarding the Sedge Warbler, yes there are several pairs on Hoddy Cows Lane.
