Bempton Birder on Vacation in North West Norfolk

Day 2 - Snettisham Coastal Park and Ken Hill Marsh, 5th June 2021

Turtle Doves

When we booked our holiday in Snettisham, we had no idea that this years "Springwatch" was to be broadcast from Wild Ken Hill, no more than two miles away! Would this draw in crowds? Well no, it was all very private, the only evidence being remote cameras and a few "real" camera operators, plus quite a bit of wiring in places! What a special place this is! In all our visits to Norfolk, this was our first time "east" of RSPB Snettisham.

Some good year ticks here - Avocets, Egyptian Geese, Black Tailed Godwits, Marsh Harriers, Turtle Doves, Cettis Warbler and Cuckoo.
