Sunrise Walk to Bempton Cliffs (Some of the Birds) - 17th December 2021

Guillemots

In my previous post depicting the sunrise as being almost identical to yesterdays, the birds were different, with "guttural growling" indicating the return of hundreds of Guillemots to the ledges. Fulmars were still in good numbers and five Shags were seen in flight. A Rock Pipit briefly rested near Bartlett Nab. Despite the sunrise, the cliffs and ledges remained quite dark making photography challenging. My own fault, being crepuscular in nature!
