Sunrise Walk to Bempton Cliffs - 17th December 2021

Well, the weather forecast (Ha! Ha!) said this morning would be foggy! True to form, it was cold, frosty and bright with another brilliant sunrise! It was almost a repeat of yesterday morning other than a few more birds on the ledges (subject of a second blog post). It would, of course, be rude not to make the most of the natural events developing around you.

  1. Hi Kevin.
I think I met you here on Friday morning - Just before the sun rose.
You were telling me about the fulmars.
It was my first visit and won't be the last.
I came across a very engaging Fieldfare which made morning.
    I am easily pleased.
    Enjoying your blog!
    Regards

    David

  2. Hello David and thank you for taking the time to comment, it is really appreciated. Yes, it was me that you met on the cliffs. I'm really pleased that you enjoyed your first visit and hopefully you will be back soon. There are not a lot of Fieldfares about so always a pleasure to see! See you again soon and have a Happy Christmas and a good New Year.

  3. Ahh. Good to know I identified the right chap rather than make a total fool of myself as is the norm...
I will be back soon I am sure. Now I know it is only a 50 minute drive from home.
Navigation is easy - keep heading East. Until you can't.
Merry Christmas to you and your family also.
Take care . See you again. I am crepuscular too.

  4. Glad to find someone who is also crepuscular! Be careful with your directions - too far east and you receive a white knuckle, adrenaline fuelled feeling followed by a cold, wet soaking ! Catch you soon.
