Sunrise Walk to Bempton Cliffs (Some of the Birds) - 6th December 2021

Fulmars

I had hoped that there would be a "golden glow" on the cliff ledges, but unfortunately, the sunrise was washed out by thick grey cloud! This made the light conditions "challenging"! The familiar "guttural growling" indicated the presence of hundreds of Guillemots, with many more on the sea and in flight. Another sound was the "scolding cackles" of Fulmar groups. At Grandstand viewpoint, I flushed a Woodcock, which headed rapidly towards the nature trail.
