South Landing, Flamborough (Wildlife) - 17th May 2022

Yellowhammer

A wander around South Landing, Flamborough c0600hrs this morning, in sunshine, slight mist, blue sky and mild temperatures. The nature trail seemed quite quiet for physical sightings, but the songs of Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Whitethroat and Blackcap were pleasantly enjoyed, if not captured on camera!

Yellowhammers

Stonechat

Robin

Goldfinch

Dunnock

Cormorants

This "mythical beast" chose to delay me!

Snails

Hawthorn

On my way home, I called in at Thornwick Pools, hoping for some waders, only to be informed that they had been flushed by Gulls! The pools were dead! However, in the bushes I did see a year tick in the form of a female Common Redstart and managed this final image of a pair of Bullfinches.

All images taken handheld with Sony RX10 Mk4.
