Aspects of Bridlington Harbour & Bay (Wildlife) - 18th May 2022

Kittiwake

A lovely start to the day with sunshine, blue sky and warm! It was high tide in the harbour and not a lot of wildlife was seen. It is good to see that the Kittiwake numbers have increased from recent visits. Some Kittiwakes are exploring areas of the town and harbour where they have not nested before. This could well be the result of displacement by the wretched netting being put up on many traditional nesting sites 😠.

Only a couple of Turnstone seen

"Come on! Wake up! The cafes are open!

I eventually found a small group of Purple Sandpipers and Turnstone on the harbour wall

Ooh err!
