May Beck & Falling Foss - 3rd May 2022

Falling Foss

Pastures new this morning with a long overdue visit to May Beck and Falling Foss, near Whitby. Well impressed! A pleasant, but arduous c2mile walk, in dull but mild conditions and a welcome refreshment break at the Falling Foss tearooms. A return visit will be a must!

Remote as the area is, there is always someone (thing) watching you!

Now, I could go to "snowflake" jail here if I was to suggest gender names for these fungi! 😇

Just loved these fungi (?)

Last year I failed to see a Treecreeper! Today I made up for that with two!

Met a couple of locals

I believe this is Greater Stitchwort (?)

And a random Chaffinch

All images taken handheld with Sony RX10 Mk4, except those of Falling Foss which were tripod based.
