Razorbills (still with "jumpling")
An early start to our walk this morning (0430Hrs) to get in a few miles before the very hot temperatures forecast start to destroy the world as we know it! 😇 It was very pleasant with a cool breeze up on the cliffs and one of the few people I met remarked about how cold it was!
It will soon be time to say goodbye to the most charismatic birds on the cliffs - the Puffin. Most will depart the cliffs for the sea at the end of July, and gone by the middle of August.
A few "Jumplings" can still be seen on the ledges, in this case Razorbill
Kittiwake chicks are now taking on their year 1 markings. When they fledge the cliffs they are known as "Tarrocks" for the first year,
