Lake District Sojourn (Whinlatter, Bassenthwaite, Derwentwater) - 7th June 2022

Derwentwater

Started today with a wander around the Whinlatter Country Park. Surprisingly, very quiet for wildlife and no sign of Red Squirrels (didn't see any at all during our week).

Nature's Sculptures

I can see a Koala here!

Flora

It is nice to meet some of the "locals" while out walking!

Stopped above Bassenthwaite Lake where the nesting Ospreys were seen distantly. Guess who didn't put his telescope in the car?

Ended the day in Keswick and a walk down to Derwentwater

All images taken handheld with Sony RX10 Mk4.
