Lake District Sojourn (Hodbarrow Nature Reserve) - 6th June 2022

Sandwich Tern

A trip across to the Irish Sea coast and the Duddon estuary where the nature reserve of Hodbarrow can be found. The nesting bird colony is surrounded by anti-predator fencing, making images difficult.

A good variety of estuary birds provided a number of year ticks, particularly Terns with Sandwich, Common and Little.
