Bempton Garden Mothing (Complete Novice) - 25/26th June 2022

Plain Golden Y

In order to study something different, we now have a moth trap in the garden! As our garden is quite small, we only intend to put it out once a week so as not to compromise the moths normal activities. We are complete novices with a lot to learn on a very steep curve! We will make mistakes, sometimes major ones, but hope that we will learn from our mistakes. I have done my best to identify the following nine species collected. I admit to using Google Lens and the Concise Guide to Moths of Great Britain and Ireland. Comments and corrections very welcome!
