Bempton Cliffs Walk (Black Browed Albatross) - 30th June 2022

I do like distractions! As you know, I don't twitch birds and see what I see when I see it! So when a rare bird turns up, the crowds descend upon it to get their tick. At the moment, a rare Turkestan Shrike is in the area and of course, this is where they are all heading, leaving the cliffs relatively quiet, just how I like it. This morning, in pleasant sunshine, we headed up to the cliffs and decided to head to Staple Newk where only two birders / photographers were. I decided to have a go at some birds in flight, in this case, a long overdue date with the Black Browed Albatross.
