Bempton Cliffs Sunrise Walk (Some of the Birds) - 8th March 2022

Glorious Gannet, Glorious Setting

A sunrise walk to Bempton Cliffs (Sunrise subject of another blog post), bright, variable cloud and a cold southerly blow. A few Auks were on the ledges (Guillemots & Razorbills), but most were on the sea or in flight. Among the rafts were a few Puffins, my first of the year. Gannets and Fulmars were in good number, with some "hanging" in the wind. I didn't see any Kittiwakes or the Short-eared Owls.
