Bempton Cliffs Circular Walk - 15th March 2022

"Welcome back, Puffin!"

An early start to the day, hoping to capture the sunrise followed by some of the birds in golden light. I'm happy to report, that ALL of the eight breeding seabirds are now back at Bempton (Razorbill; Guillemot; Puffin; Herring Gull; Gannet; Fulmar; Kittiwake; Shag). It is still very early in the breeding season and the birds will still be very mobile between the ledges and sea. Most of the Puffins on the ledges have not yet gained their full summer plumage. Other birds seen included Barn Owl, Short-eared Owl, many Meadow Pipits and Skylarks.
