Bempton Cliffs Sunrise Walk (Some of the Birds) - 25th February 2022

Fulmar

A rather cold morning with a strong south westerly blow resulted in a brief visit to the cliffs this morning. Primarily for the sunrise (subject of another blog post), but also taking in some of the birds. As expected, the Gannets and Fulmars dominated the cliff ledges and areas of flight around them. A few Guillemots were on distant ledges, with a Peregrine briefly at Grandstand. The cliff top grassland had a Short-eared Owl hunting. Otherwise quite quiet still!
