Bridlington Harbour, Some of the Birds - 23rd October 2021

Little Auk

I couldn't see any birds on my first walk around the harbour this morning as it was rather dark! My second walk was better but still very dull and cloudy. It was very high ISO photography! Also, being high tide, most birds were hunkered down on the harbour walls.

Biggest surprise of the morning was a Little Auk, swimming and diving around the harbour entrance! These birds are not normally seen very close, usually in flight as they head north. What a pleasure to see!
