Bempton Cliffs Walk - 1st October 2021

Toad

A challenging walk to the cliffs! We set out late morning (unusual for us) in good weather, blue sky and sunshine, but a moderate south westerly blow. These pleasant conditions remained with us until half way down Cliff Lane on our return, when the heavens opened and, yes, we got drenched. We were wetter than wet things on a wet day!

The start was rather pleasant

The pond at Bempton Cliffs held this Newt Tadpole. Next to it, a yello leaf gives a good impression of a fish!

A Toad crossed our paths and stood defiantly before us!

Not a lot other than Gannets on the cliffs

Sky Pointing before......

......The "Geronimo" Leap

And a pose

A random Magpie surrounded by berries

Some filming on the reserve with Michael Portillo looking at "Operation Seabird)

All was well as we headed back to Bempton. Half way down Cliff Lane, we were hit by two torrential downpours and soaked to the skin before waterproofs could be donned! Priority - camera away, waterproofs for me, Symphony to look after herself! Symphony was not at all happy!

When we arrived home, soaked to the skin, the sun was shining!
