Bempton Circular Walk

Red Campion

A bright and mild spring morning saw Heather, myself and Symphony walking the Bempton circular. Most of the expected birds and wildlife were present on the cliffs, sea, in flight and on the grasslands. Unfortunately, not great views from the viewpoints due to "hoggers", people who stand in the best spots for hours on end, not moving and with social distancing, preventing others benefitting. And, of course, they are surrounded by more kit than a mule could carry 😇. I suppose if they moved, they might miss that image of a Puffin juggling Guillemot eggs 😇.

It's that time of the year when Red Campion becomes extensive and I love it! It makes the cliffs look fantastic and will get more extensive as the spring moves on.

Another favourite of mine when profuse is Cow Parsley, here it is just starting to appear
