Tophill Low - 1st September 2020

Grey Heron in the Mist

Arrived at Tophill Low c0630hrs to find a low mist covering the area. Certainly not brilliant for "sharp" photography, but allows a little "atmospheric" licence! Despite several cars in the car park, I didn't see anyone on my tour of the south side, not even in the members hide. Mind you, there were not many birds either, probably the quietest visit since joining four weeks ago! I'm not really one to sit in a hide for long periods, preferring to have a good scan and the move on. Just as well now that face coverings in the hides are now compulsory.

Here come the Geese!

Using my iPhone 7 I attempted to capture some of the atmospheric moments that a misty morning can produce
