Back to Bempton Cliffs - 21st September 2020

Northern Gannet

My first visit in two weeks to the cliffs and I could not help but wonder what changes had occurred. A few posts of birds such as Red Breasted Flycatcher, Pied Flycatcher and Yellow Browed Warbler gave me a positive feel, but as is normal for me, not a sign! I think I have lost track with birding since lockdown and feel more positive walking than birding. I certainly cannot give it the time that some obsessive birders put in. Still, at least the Gannets and Fulmars are still about and easy to spot! Many of the Gugas have now fledged, but a few young Gugas will require servicing for some weeks yet.
