Bempton Circular Walk - 22nd September 2020

Northern Gannet

With most of the breeding seabirds now departed from the cliffs, crowds are also diminishing and as a result, I am now visiting later. The downside this morning was missing a spectacular sunrise! However, there was still the opportunity to collect a few "atmospheric" images!

A walk around the dell and nature trail did not produce a great deal, however, I did hear a Yellow Browed Warbler, but could not locate it! I'm sure a list of missed birds will be produced later!

Down on the cliffs the Gannets carry on with their lives.

Time for a feed

Very near to fledging

A little time to go yet

Gannets usually notify their intentions to move / take flight by sky pointing. This is followed by a "Geronimo" dive, accompanied by a call
